How does a hands-free leash actually work?

The Waypoint wears crossbody over your shoulder, or clips around your waist. Your dog is attached to you, not to your hand. You keep control through the traffic handle when you need it, and get both hands back the rest of the time.

Will it hurt my shoulder if my dog pulls?

There's a shock-absorbing bungee section built into the line. It stretches under a sudden lunge, so the jolt doesn't travel straight into your shoulder or your dog's neck.

What size dog is it for?

The Waypoint is built for medium to large, strong dogs. If you have a puppy or a very small breed, it will work but it's more leash than you need.

What's it made of?

Heavy-duty woven nylon webbing with metal hardware. It's tough, quick-drying and easy to rinse clean, it is not a rigid rubber-coated leash, so it stays comfortable across the shoulder.

Can I hose it off?

Yes. Rinse with water, hang to dry. Nylon handles mud, sand and saltwater; just don't put it in a hot dryer.

Is it chew-proof?

No leash is genuinely chew-proof, and we won't claim it. A determined chewer will get through any fabric leash. If yours does it within 30 days, the Mud Happens Guarantee covers you.
