Ruffmile started with a simple, slightly annoying problem: the best part of the day was the walk, and we were spending it tangled up.

Leash around the wrist. Phone in the teeth. Coffee going cold on a fence post. A dog who wanted to go faster than our hands allowed.

So we built gear around the walk itself, not around the dog's neck. Hands free. Phone in pocket. Coffee still hot. Dog living its best life.

What we believe

• The walk is sacred. It's the part of the day that belongs to you and your dog. Gear should get out of the way.
• Buy once. We'd rather sell you one good leash than four cheap ones.
